We offer a course in which the acquisition of skills, self-examination and reflection are key. We are committed to intensive, individual supervision.

Professionalism and personal vision

Our graduates make a substantive and innovative contribution to the development of the field through their personal artistic vision. They effect change in professional practice. Our training gives students a solid grounding in the field and opportunities to specialise in the fields of theatre and film.

The theoretical training is closely linked to the practical training. Reflection, research and the acquisition of knowledge are important pillars. Subjects such as philosophy, dramaturgy and film analysis allow students to develop a broad awareness of the world and of the arts.

Collaboration with the professional field

Lecturers work as actors, directors and dramatists in professional practice. Projects are developed in collaboration with theatres and individual producers. We maintain close ties with directors, theatre company representatives and casting agencies. Thanks to this continuous dialogue between the School of Acting and the professional practice, the programme links well to the professional field.

We also collaborate internationally. We have an exchange programme with a number of theatre schools within Europe, including KUG Graz, KASK Gent and RITS Brussels.

Those who study in Arnhem, choose an exceptional acting course. In the second half of their study, students may select some of their own programmes in order to specialise in areas such as directing, writing or music theatre. After graduation, you can work in theatre, film or television.
