Registration

Applying for contract education can be done throughout the whole year. However, as most courses last the entire academic year starting them is only possible at the start of the year, in September. Entrance exams take place during the regular entrance exam periods.

In the application form you may put which courses you are interested in following, after which the possibilities will be assessed together with someone from the educational organization.

The ArtEZ programme terms and conditions are applicable to contract education (programmes) and preparatory programmes offered by ArtEZ.

Admission

In most cases, an audition is part of the admission process. In other cases, admission takes place on the basis of an intake interview.
The admission requirements and admission dates can be found on the admission page of the relevant Bachelor's programme.

If you wish to follow theory classes, you must first take a theory test (unless you are already in posession of a comparable Music Bachelor's degree).
Admission to all courses is under the condition that there is space in the existing classes. No separate classes are scheduled for contract education.

Good to know

As a contract student you will participate in the regular curriculum. This means in most cases that you will also do a progression audition and take any other associated examinations for your chosen courses.
It is not possible to receive student financing from the Dutch government for contract education.
Following and completing a course or course component can lead to a study completion statement or certificate.
As a contract student you can make use of the same facilities as regular students.

Fees

Contract education is not subsidised. This is why the fees are based on the cost price. Below are the basic amounts per class of 60 minutes (depending on the class size). In cases of inconsistent class durations the rate is calculated proportionately. Payment is possible per semester or in installments. VAT is not applicable.
