-
This course is taught in Dutch and is subject to language requirements.
-
You must complete an entrance exam and receive a positive evaluation.
Application
To apply for the entrance exam, go to Studielink and create an account. After you’ve registered via Studielink, you’ll receive an email from ArtEZ’s Student Affairs department. Once you've submitted the questionnaire, you’ll be entered into the ArtEZ system, and the course you've applied for can reach out to you.
When you’re in the system, you’ll receive an email from the course. This email will include information about the date you’re expected at the academy and details about the admissions process. It will also contain a link to the home assignments. Download, complete these assignments, and bring them with you to the entrance exam.
Entrance examination
The admission exam for the part-time accelerated programme is an intake interview. We assess whether you meet the entry requirements for the course. In addition (and most importantly), we want to gain insight into your motivation for joining the programme. Why do you want to start this study? And does your motivation align with what the programme offers?
During the interview, we will also explore your visual, artistic and communicative talents together. This helps us assess your potential and the likelihood of succeeding in the programme.
Preparing for your admission
The home assignments are an important part of the intake. You must download and complete them as part of the application procedure. There are two assignments, both of which must be uploaded in the system before the intake. For the part-time accelerated programme, the portfolio is not a formal part of the admission process. However, we are interested in gaining an impression of your artistic practice, so you are very welcome to bring part of your portfolio (or a few photos that give an idea of your work).
Entrance examination dates
Once you have received the home assignment, we expect you to use the next available admission date:
- Saturday 24 January
- Saturday 7 March
- Saturday 11 April
- Tuesday 30 June
Result and validity
The results of the entrance exam are determined based on established criteria and are evaluated based on the home assignments and the conversation during the admission day at the academy. After the admission process, the admissions committee advises the Examination Committee on whether you will be accepted or not.
You will be informed on the same day as the entrance exam whether you have been admitted to our program. In the case of a rejection, we will try to provide you with insight into the reasons for this decision.
