Design Art Technology - Bachelor - Arnhem

Admission

After your application via Studielink, you will receive an email with instructions explaining how the admission process works. Admission is a way to get to know each other: to see whether you are a good fit for the programme, and for you to see whether this programme is what you are looking for. On this page you can read what admission involves and what you need to submit.

What do we look for?

During both admission rounds, we look not only at what you create, but especially at who you are as a creator.

We look at:

  • Your creative ability: can you turn ideas into images? Your sense of colour, form and material – does your work show individuality?
  • Your motivation and communication: what drives you? What inspires you? And can you clearly express that?
  • Your way of thinking and researching: are you curious? Do you dare to experiment? Can you reflect critically on your work?

First round

For the first round of admission, you submit two home assignments, your portfolio and a motivation letter digitally. Please submit these no later than ten days before the admission round you have selected. Based on this, we decide whether you will be invited to the second round: the admission day. For tips on your portfolio, see prepare your portfolio.

Second round

Have you made it through the first round? Then you are welcome to attend the admission day, online or on location in Arnhem. Here is what you can expect on this day:

  • You will spend half the day working on an assignment.
  • You will have a conversation with teachers and students from the programme to get to know each other. During this conversation, you will talk about your portfolio, motivation, home assignments, inspiration and creative process.
