Corpo-real Discourse: Studio Mast

13:30 - 16:30
Bagijneweide 33, Zwolle

On Friday 2 October we welcome Studio Mast. This Discourse meeting is one in a series of interaction with a wide range of researchers and artists, invited by Corpo-real students to explore the endlessly dynamic relationship between bodies and space, together as peers in the field.

MAST is a multidisciplinary design studio based in Amsterdam. We specialise in experience design: telling stories through exhibitions, interiors, experiences and products, with a conscious approach on sustainability. We embrace concept-driven storytelling in our design philosophy. We are conscious of our own impact and strive to make design choices based on both quality and environmental responsibility. Founded by an interior designer and a multimedia artist, our studio takes pride in high quality craftsmanship in the broadest sense of the word.

Best practice does not really exist—every project is different. As we explore our clients’ stories, however, one element consistently reappears: the need to translate these stories in a way that resonates with peers, engages them, and creates a meaningful connection with the topics at hand.

Across all our projects, we aim to keep peer engagement high while minimizing the environmental impact of our work. A strong understanding of materials and production methods is essential. While a truly sustainable project may not exist, we make conscious choices throughout our process and actively communicate those decisions to visitors.

Admission is free and registration is not required.
