Lab for future makers, future storytellers and researchers
As future makers, we are building a fun, beautiful, sustainable and energetic Netherlands. Future stories help develop such a world. Stories connect people, invite change and give insight into people's living world. You are cordially invited to an inspiring evening dedicated to creating these future stories together. An evening in which we make the call to create a new place where education and research come together to make a different future.
At a time when change is a constant, we believe in the power of imagination. That is why we call on artists, scientists and makers to work together to imagine a different future. A future not limited by the known, but driven by innovation. The evening will be an open discussion on the possibilities of a lab for future makers in the Spoorzone under the name (No) University. We will work iteratively, with multiple meetings in which plans emerge and ideas flourish.
The culmination of our joint efforts will be a conference in November, which we will organise together. We invite you to participate in this unconference and explore with us the opportunities that No University offers. Where do the opportunities lie? How can education and research play a role in shaping our future? And where can art add value to these explorations. Your ideas are invaluable and we look forward to your contribution.
The evening starts with dinner together, a coming together of different fields and sectors, but all in search of a new future.
An unconference is an open venue where everyone can make their voices heard. Unlike traditional formats, an unconference has a self-organising character. The participants plan the sessions themselves by placing a Post-It with title and name on a grid of sessions.
In No University, we develop an interdisciplinary research, design and development environment from different educational institutions (MBO, HBO and WO) together with companies, social institutions and the government where we focus on translating major ecological, social and technological issues locally.
In this unconference, we want to explore with you what opportunities No University offers. Where do opportunities lie? How and where could education, research and the arts play a role? Do you see opportunities? Do you have ideas? Then come to this unconference. Come on time and claim a time slot in the programme!
