Focus on the Void (12+)

About people becoming (im)mortal as you watch.

How far will people go to gain prestige? And what does this prestige actually provide? In this performance, a world is created where you die when no one knows you exist but you become immortal in the picture everyone knows of you. The audience watches a collage of scenes with texts as well as physical movements and lots of sound. The actors want nothing more than for everyone to know they exist in order to survive. After all, if no one knows you exist anymore, why should you still be there? Or can you give yourself existence? And what is the danger of being immortal? If you look closely, you might see someone pushing a boundary in order to survive. Is it possible to escape from this reality where your life depends on the attention you get? And what is actually the value of emptiness? This performance is inspired by the comic book 'The Great Void' by French writer and illustrator Léa Murawiec.
