“A series of kinetic light sculptures featuring handmade constructions, practical effects and the usage of light as a material. The works are inspired by early image-displaying technologies, optical phenomena and DIY culture. They have been created through a process of experimentation, observation and play. In response to the increasingly dominant screen-based experiences, these whimsical self-built machines offer a slower form of visual experience. Aiming to evoke a renewed attention towards the physical world and to the act of looking itself.”
