Work hard, share harder
At the academy, students work hard on their designs and creations in their own studios. And they work just as hard together. Creative ideas, doubts, successes and experiences – all are shared. As a result, you'll develop different perspectives from which to view your own work, the work of others and the world around you.
Close community
The academy forms a close community where everyone can be themselves and where social engagement is important. That commitment is in the DNA of the academy and is reflected in the dedication of the students. Is there an event starting at nine in the morning? Then all 400 students are present at nine o'clock. Ok, almost all of them then.
"For anyone who wants to study at ArtEZ or is already studying here: be bold, stay curious, and make the academy a place where you want to spend at least four years. Remember that you're surrounded by people who all want to do exciting and important things. There are janitors, teachers, cafeteria staff, and a sea of students, all eager for new experiences and surprises through fresh initiatives and projects. And remember, you can ask for help with anything. Whether it's with hammers and nails or painting walls, or even vacuum-packing 200 stuffed animals. People are happy to help. Develop your own style
As a student, you’ll also study yourself here, to discover who you are and what you want to become as an artist. It’s an intense process, but it’s worth it. You’ll get to know yourself deeply: what’s your unique story? How can you use it to share a message with the world? Your talents and strengths are given space to grow, allowing you to develop your own style.
