In 2022, Polina graduated from Graphic Design Arnhem, ArtEZ. She discovered and cultivated an interest and skill in artistic research during her studies. Helped by the starter voucher worth €2500, she is now converting that interest into a business.
She participated in our starters program to write the best application she could. This intensive, free program offers practical help with starting a business. Look here for more information on our Starters programme in Enschede in September 2024.
Studio Polina Slavova is about doing research and transforming that research into captivating artworks, such as interactive installation art. She wants to make artistic research accessible to a broad audience, to make people think and to participate in a shift of perception of the individual in a society. While grants will be the primary source of income during her initial years, Polina has a long-term strategy to sustain her research. Over four years, she plans to diversify her income streams by turning her research into other products such as workshops, essays, publications, lectures, and merchandise.The voucher itself will be spent wisely. Part of it will go to professionalize her online presence and PR materials for her company, but she will also invest in herself through training.
