ArtEZ students are happy with ArtEZ's education, facilities and lecturers, according to the results of the National Student Survey 2024 (NSE; Nationale Studenten Enquête). Our students are especially satisfied with the lecturers, commitment and contact. The results of the NSE annually provide valuable insights that help us further improve our education.

Feedback from students is very valuable

ArtEZ receives higher ratings than the national higher professional education average. For example, our students' satisfaction is above average with regard to the key themes of 'Commitment and Contact' (as in 2023: 4.02) and 'Lecturers at the institution ' (4.02 comparable to 3.99 in 2023). Marjolijn Brussaard, President of the Executive Board: ‘This illustrates our commitment as a university and the hugely important role our lecturers play; not only in teaching, but also in attention and contact.' The key theme of 'Connection to professional practice' shows a slight decrease from last year and from the national average. The difference is not significant, but it does receive full attention. This applies both to the acquisition of skills and the contact with professional practice. The valuable feedback provided by the students regarding professional practice is taken into account.

Rise in appreciation of English-language education

ArtEZ is home to a diverse, international community of students and faculty. Some of our courses are taught entirely in English. Hence excellent command of the English language is permanently high on our agenda. The detail score for clearly conveying subject matter in English increased significantly: 4.10 in 2024 compared to 3.86 in 2023. Accordingly, within the theme score for 'International Students,' the score for English proficiency also increased (4.42 compared to 4.20 in 2023)
