Work by students Comic Design and Illustration Design at the exhibition ‘Bord voor je Kop’

Work by students of the Comic Design and Illustration Design course in Zwolle can be seen at the exhibition ‘Bord voor je Kop’ in Haarlem. This exhibition of the Noord-Hollands Archief focuses on youth activism. The students created a series of sandwich boards and installations with the theme PROTEST. The exhibition can be visited until June 21, 2024, at the Janskerk.
Youth activism is current. From skipping school for climate change to protests against housing policies and student loans, young adults have taken to the streets in large numbers in recent years. This activism is part of a longer tradition of youth protests in the 20th century. With the exhibition ‘Bord voor je Kop!’, the Noord-Hollands Archief aims to encourage young people to reflect on important themes in their lives and place them in the context of youth protests from the 20th century.
