SPOTTED: Soul singer Bella Luna performs at RTV Oost's SPUNCK

Bodily integrity was not part of her upbringing, for a long time she thought that female sexuality did not really exist. Soul singer Bella Luna, born in the Philippines, has lived in Enschede for several years and was recently featured at SPUNCK on RTV Oost. There, she told her impressive story.
She started at the Academy of Pop Music in Enschede in 2020, received the Burger Beurs from the Burgerweeshuis and has now released a number of songs. Bella Luna is making quite a name for herself, in December her song Lust & Found was released. In the accompanying video, she is tied up with a Japanese form of bondage (Shibari), she reveals to RTV Oost. "With Shibari, it is not that if you are tied up, you are immediately submissive. On the contrary, you are that empowered person."
She chose this form of video for a reason. Bella grew up with the idea that it is the woman's 'job' to provide sexual desires to the man. "I think that also led to this experience," she says of her traumatic experience in which she was raped. While she does not want to condone it, she thinks it is important to also take responsibility.
