Tamara Rumiantsev, de nieuwe directeur Onderzoek en Valorisatie ArtEZ
Tamara Rumiantsev

She is currently working as Head of Innovation in Education at Codarts, Rotterdam. She has previously held various posts in arts education. For example, she was simultaneously head of course, lecturer and researcher at the Professorship of Transdisciplinary Education Innovation and was part of the management of the faculty of music at HKU for many years. In addition, this year she was awarded her PhD from Leiden University for her research into collaborative forms of working in higher music education.

Marjolijn Brussaard,President of the Executive Board of ArtEZ:

In Tamara, we are gaining a director who not only has experience of managing research in arts education but has also actively participated in that research herself. In her, we have found a director who knows exactly what it will take to help Research and Valorisation at ArtEZ take off.

Tamara Rumiantsev:

I love education, the arts and research. ArtEZ is a brilliant and broad university of the arts, with all the arts disciplines represented. I see lots of developments at ArtEZ that I want to contribute to, together with the entire Research and Valorisation team. I am keen to improve coordination and cooperation between research and education and strengthen the position of ArtEZ as a research institute. I want to be the connecting factor, across all locations.

The combination of research and valorisation suits Tamara down to the ground – besides being a researcher and manager, she ran her own business for years. As such, she sees many opportunities in the area of valorisation.

Tamara has been appointed ArtEZ director of Research & Valorisation for 4 days a week. She succeeds Clemens Berendsen.
