Research and innovation at universities of applied sciences
UAS4Europe represents more than 2 million students and 60,000 researchers in over 450 colleges across Europe. "UAS works very hard with European colleges to be seen and recognized for their practice-oriented research and innovation," Marjolijn Brussaard explains. "UAS is the voice in Europe to claim our place alongside the universities, and to contribute together to finding solutions to the challenges societies face.”

Two women
Marjolijn Brussaard's co-chair is Heidi Fagerholm, the representative of the Finnish universities of applied sciences. "It is exceptional that Heidi Fagerholm and I, two women, will lead the board of UAS," says Brussaard. Over the next two years, the two chairs will work to make practice-based research more visible at universities of applied sciences, and profile ArtEZ as the place where art, education and research come together.

Twee vrouwen
