The Show Up! Talent Days are a meeting place and open stage for young makers and ambitious dance talents. Participants are encouraged and personally coached to tell their story - whether that story is told in pure dance or with the use of theatrical elements. By dancing together, the participants learn from each other, and a cross-pollination between various styles occurs. In this way, we stimulate new idiosyncratic and controversial artists, teachers and dance makers. The Show Up! Talent Days are part of the preparatory programme for the Bachelor of Dance in Education. Participation is free.
The focus is on young dance makers who will be given the opportunity to show their own work (possibly under supervision). The form is free. From solo to crew dance, with or without music. The only stipulation is that it must last at least 1 minute and no more than 10. You will also take part in a dance-making workshop on 4 December.
To apply, fill out this form before Tuesday 2 November. You will receive an email after registration. If there are more registrations than places, your participation will be moved to Saturday 19 March.
