Who are you as a performer/artist?
I am someone willing to give my 100% into everything. Open and willing to go into the unknown in order to evolve.

What are your ambitions?
I want to achieve my full potential of artistic freedom of expression. I want to contribute with all my capacities to the (art) dance world. I want to inspire and connect with people around the world by genuine sharing of art and life. I want to do that by exploring the different ways that feel right to me in every step of my human artistic process. I want to discover, rediscover and create my own art.

Where do you find inspiration?
I find inspiration in different people’s stories. People I share values with and contemplate them, either by listening to them talking, seeing them doing their craft, their presence, their way of doing things, … Lately I have been finding a lot of inspiration in myself too. I feel I have a lot to learn but I appreciate the values and qualities I already have that make me who I am as I believe in crafting my own path, therefore I am my first reference. And last but not least, music, movies, anime, nature.

What did you do at your internship & what did you learn?
I started in my 3rd year with Hofesh Shechter II. Had a process of learning an existing piece and then having a creation period to extend it to make it a full evening piece which we toured around 7 different countries in Europe, with more than 90 shows. Through that year I learnt how a touring company works. I got to experience what it is to perform this much and the struggles and discoveries that come with it. How important it is to have proper human values and be good people to create good work. How to keep it interesting for yourself and find meaning in every show. How to keep on rediscovering the work. A big thing for me was also how to still develop in all the ways I want to. Teaching and practicing was really helpful as when I was teaching I had to be really precise in what it is I wanted to share. This helped me to develop more my movement practice which I taught later on in different settings; such as for a week teaching 6 hours a day in the BlueBox professional dance program in Vienna. There I saw how I can achieve my goals by also teaching. I was surprised about how much influence I had on the students during that week and how I could produce so much inspiration.

I participated in various dance projects, auditioned for big companies and started my freelance career. I did my first residencies for my solo KEVLAR, with whom I discovered my choreographic voice more. I joined different battles around Europe too that taught me a lot about my dance and from where I really want to dance from. I learnt that life has its own flow and of course we have the power to decide what is best for us but I think it is also important to surf the waves of life by adapting to them.
