Nexumy

'In a world that celebrates the new, I turned to the quiet beauty of the worn.'
Nexumy is a footwear collection inspired by the insights found in the wear and tear of our products. In a time where attention is often centered on a product's early life, this collection was inspired by what happens after. By closely analyzing the transformations that occur through use, conventional shoemaking methods are reimagined.
Creases, wrinkles, and rough edges became guiding elements. By treating these integral signs of wear as tools for design, each shoe begins as a single rectangular piece of fabric, draped into an upper through material manipulation. Laces play a key role in the construction, connecting the upper to a 3D-printed sole through carefully placed slits.
Rather than resisting change, Nexumy embraces it. It challenges conventional ideas of perfection, proposing a more adaptive, responsive approach to design. One that views aging not as decline, but as a source of knowledge and beauty.
