My work mostly revolves around typographic matter in print and books but also includes web publishing and videos, which I mostly try to apply in a multi-media way with layering.

I have taken on some practical assignments where I worked on designing identities; For a book live stream, which I also helped organize, content for Instagram.

For my 4th year practical assignment, I designed the catalog for Product Design finals. I am fascinated with certain biases and try to be critical and break them within my work, like my persona, Simply Noisey, in her DJ career.

A common theme in my work is deconstructing systems such as corporate culture or institutions, Like the project, "Tegeltjeswijsheid" The commodified contract tiles. (2x2m)

Other interests of mine revolve around topics such as the perception of memory or the senses and the environment around them; within culture and family conditions.

Major Research Project

Mama, ik heb raar gedroomd (mom, I had a strange dream)

This installation simulates the dream-like state of mind and therefore tries to create an alternate reality; in-between dream and real life. How can one touch upon the distorted visuals, truths, and physics one sees while dreaming? This installation is an escape from the hectics of everyday life, the part of me that, as a child, was natural to me; daydreaming and being in touch with my fantasies. Therefore, the viewer can create a space within their conscious and unconscious to open up the wonders of their mind. The installation invites the audience to enter through the curtain, sit or lay down, and observe.

The elements in the installation refer to childhood associations, such as blanket forts, mosquito nets, inflatable structures, and soft textures. The colors of the projections are saturated and bright, sharp, or blurry. The physics caused by the 360 camera and distorted projections enlarge the misshaped bodies, objects, and landscapes.
