Rob Kramer will be appointed on 1 May as member of the board of the ArtEZ School of Music. Within this new board, which will consist of three members, he will be responsible for the Enschede location, among other things.

As director of the production house Oost-Nederland, Rob Kramer has been a member of the board of De Nieuwe Oost (DNO) since 2013, the largest interdisciplinary production house in the Netherlands. DNO is a cooperative of Wintertuin (literature, Nijmegen), production house Oost-Nederland (pop music, Deventer) and Generale Oost (dance and theatre, Arnhem). Additionally, Kramer is closely involved with ArtEZ. For six years, he has been supervising the students of the Pop Academy as a practical coach. He also holds several advisory and executive positions within the cultural field.

In Kramer, we have found a director with a broad vision of the arts, extensive experience and an extensive network. As director of production house Oost-Nederland (and before that, as director of the Poppodium Burgerweeshuis in Deventer), Rob has played an important role. He has also brought the production house Oost-Nederland to a prominent position in the Netherlands in the area of talent development. Rob was extensively involved in pop productions such as Kyteman's Hiphop Orkest, NO blues, NNENN, Knarsetand and the musical theatre group BOT, which gained national and international fame with the series Het Geluid Van and the festival production RAMKOERS.

With the appointment of Rob, a first step has been made in the formation of a new board for the ArtEZ School of Music. Until the new board is formed, Juul Diteweg will stay on as director in Arnhem and Zwolle. The vacancy for the School of Music in Zwolle will be published next month.
