O2LAB Education voucher

The O2LAB is a subsidy from the Ministry of Economic Affairs. ArtEZ is part of HUB O2LAB Gelderland with HAN, Van Hall Larenstein, and Saxion. In various regions in the Netherlands, HUBS are developed, where knowledge and experience about entrepreneurship education is shared and enchored in the curriculum.

O2LAB Education voucher

Education vouchers to prepare for professional practice

The ArtEZ Business Center has made vouchers available to facilitate curriculum innovations from the O2LAB. The starting point is an in-depth investment to upgrade and further develop the existing curriculum, modules/projects, or courses with entrepreneurial skills, tools, or behavior.
Teachers of the program will implement the vouchers in collaboration with and supported by the knowledge and experience of alums. The focus is on what the courses, teachers, researchers, and entrepreneurship professionals already practice in entrepreneurship education.

We have launched an open call for these vouchers. With the available budget, we were able to contribute to five projects:

Band Coaching and Business | Jazz & Pop Arnhem
Jazz & Pop Arnhem will use the education voucher to integrate more entrepreneurial skills into the existing band coaching module. They will investigate the support needs of current students and ask alums what they have missed in this module. They will also map out what the current teachers of the module need to be able to integrate more skills.

Line and composition | Classical music Zwolle
The classical music program in Zwolle focuses on developing a shared vision of the learning path for entrepreneurship education. To create this learning line, they will examine what is needed to shape the vision and which parts already fit within the new concept. This research is a collaboration between students, alums, career counselors, and the teacher of the course: professional skills.

Integration of entrepreneurship and profiling in the entire curriculum | Jazz & Pop Zwolle
Jazz& Pop Zwolle sees an opportunity to link the subjects related to entrepreneurship and profiling to the rest of the curriculum with the voucher. The ultimate goal is to ensure that students can give a presentation at the end of year 4 where profiling, entrepreneurship, and a vision of their profession come together. The focus is on individual talent coaching programs aimed at education and organization based on experience in the stage field.

Development Minor Marketing & Organization | MediaMusic Enschede
This new minor focuses on students' self-learning ability and will be further developed in consultation with students. The minor aims to contribute to a smoother transition between education and the professional field. Both current students and alums will be questioned and included in the further development of this new minor.

Learning entrepreneurship skills through iterative collaboration | Creative Writing Arnhem
Creative Writing wants to start offering entrepreneurship skills in the 1st year of the existing Process and Research modules. With a focus on ownership, validated learning, communication with the professional field, and entrepreneurship as creative problem-solving. The student is guided and coached in collaborating and organizing various (literary) events.

Community of Practice

02LAB Gelderland is a Community of Practice during 2022-2023. Together with teachers from the participating institutions, we meet at least four times a year during Community of Practice meetings. For teachers, principals, study career counselors, and coordinators who want to be inspired and want to share knowledge and experience with colleagues.

Once the O2LAB project is finished, the HUB will be an independent ecosystem where we can easily find each other and continue collaborating and exchanging knowledge.

Register here to participate in the meetings.
