Max Reinhardt Prize for Club Fiction
- ArtEZ Prizewinner

At the theatre schools festival in Bern, KUG Graz won the Max Reinhardt Prize for ensembles for its collaborative project with the ArtEZ School of Acting (the performance "Club Fiction").
Club Fiction
Club Fiction is a trans-national project between the theatre institutes ArtEZ School of Acting Arnhem and the University of Music and Performing Arts, Graz.
The play portrays a situation which young people run up against time after time: How do you get something done when you are unsure? How do you engage in the fight, how do you get a result? Revolution. What then? And what about love? The searching, humour, despair, dreams and mutual understanding illustrate how a young generation deals with the political problems of our world: unequal income, refugees, climate change, capitalism, terrorism.
Max Reinhardt Prize
The Max Reinhardt Prize (€10,000) is a prize which was established in 1993 by the Austrian Ministry of Culture. It is awarded every two years to an ensemble which takes an innovative look at the future in its work. The Max Reinhardt Prize is the biggest prize at the festival.
The theatre schools festival is the festival at which all German-language theatre schools present themselves to each other annually. It is held in a different city each year.
The last chance to see a performance of Club Fiction will be at the ITs festival in Amsterdam on June 28
