Jeangu Macrooy 3FM Serious Talent

The past week could not have been better for second year Academy of Pop Music student and singer-songwriter, Jeangy Macrooy. On Thursday 7 April he presented his debut album Brave Enough in a packed Metropool in Hengelo and on 8 April he was voted newest 3FM Serious Talent. The following Saturday he got to perform another release concert in Splendor Amsterdam.

Since the summer of 2015 Jeangu has been working together with Producer Perquisite, which led to a contract with Unexpected Records. His electrifying, deeply personal music leaves a strong emotional impact on his audience.

Jeangu was nominated by Metropool for the Overijssel Pop Award for 2016 and also performed during the Booster Festival (2 April in Enschede). Adri Karsenberg (Programme Planner for Metropool Regionaal) about their choice: “Jeangu is a completely unique talent, who seems to have come out of nowhere and was instantly spotted by labels, programme planners and audiences. This man will go far!”

Jeangu will be the opening act for Caro Emerald on King’s Night.
