This labour-intensive stop-motion film technique is still cherished by many. Knor is a 73-minute film, on which no fewer than 264 'animation days' were spent. Knor was made entirely in the Arnhem Holy Motion studio, Mascha runs this studio together with producer Marleen Slot.

Mascha Halberstad

Mascha has been making animation films for various clients, including the VPRO, for about 30 years. Her films are internationally acclaimed. In 2015 Mascha made this video clip – one of her many, many films – for renowned British band The Prodigy.

Prizes

Knor has now, in September 2022, received three Golden Calves. The Netherlands also submitted Knor for the Oscars.
