Carmen Jurado Sánchez

Carmen Jurado Sánchez is a Spanish pianist who came to the Netherlands to complete her studies two years ago.

She started playing the piano when she was seven years old because of her fascination for music and especially for the sound of this instrument. This final master concert is the result of her last two years of musical studies in the Netherlands, but also of an inner journey and a search for who she is and what defines her as a musician.

About the concert:

For Carmen as a child, music was about the magic of sound, beauty, imagination. During her adolescence and youth, art became a way to understand the world, to enter other people's inner worlds and to communicate. What role does music play in her life now? That we will see in her concert on June 19, a recital composed of works by Bach, Schubert and Debussy; composers who have accompanied her in all stages of her life. Since chamber music is also an important part of her career, she will play one of the works with violinist Mireia Escobar.
