ArtEZ Best University  according to 2018 Master's Guide

The recently published 2018 Master's Guide ranks ArtEZ University of the Arts as the best provider of master courses in the Netherlands in the medium-sized providers' category. ArtEZ has surpassed InHolland and Hogeschool Zuyd in the ranking.

The Master's Guide shows how master courses are judged by students and experts. ArtEZ's total score is the highest of all medium-sized providers and higher than the scores of large providers such as the Windesheim, Hogeschool Utrecht, HAN and Fontys universities of applied sciences.

Designated as top-notch course
The ArtEZ Master of Arts in Fine Art and Design has been awarded the designation of Top-Notch Course. It comprises the DAI Art Praxis (Dutch Art Institute), Master of Typography, Fashion Strategy and Fashion Design master programmes. This means that, according to the 2018 Master's Guide, they are among the best of Dutch university and university of applied sciences programmes.

Quality improvement boost
Marjolijn Brussaard, President Executive Board responded as follows to this result: "The clustering of our master courses within the Graduate School is beginning to bear fruit. It creates critical mass in our master courses in which we connect research to education in order to boost the quality improvement."

About the Master's Guide
The Master's Guide is published annually and rates programmes based on student satisfaction as revealed by the National Student Survey and expert assessments from accreditations by the NVAO (Dutch-Flemish Accreditation Organisation). According to the Master's Guide, top degree programmes set themselves apart within their own disciplines and score 76 points or above, making them eligible for a quality mark.
