Annemarie Reitsma Head of the Master's in Music

Annemarie Reitsma officially began her position as Head of the Master's in Music on 1 September 2016. Since November 2015, she has been the interim Head at the Academy of Music and has been responsible for writing the long-term plan, working closely with the Communication department to further develop and implement a plan for recruiting Master's students, embedding the research component and shaping the collectivity within the Master's.

Annemarie graduated from the University of Amsterdam with a Master's in Cultural Studies. She has been a producer and production manager for various small opera companies, orchestras and festivals, the Opera Nu (Opera Now) collaboration and the Nederlands KamerOpera Festival (Dutch Chamber Opera Festival).

In addition to her position as Head of the Master's in Music, Annemarie is also the Director of the Kameroperahuis (Kamer Opera House) in Zwolle.

After a thorough, open application procedure, we are happy that we have appointed Annemarie and are looking forward to expanding the Master's in Music over the coming years.
