The ArtEZ University of the Arts Board of Governors has appointed Wim Fiselier as Dean of Bachelor education / member of the Executive Board of ArtEZ as of 1 November 2015. The appointment of Wim Fiselier is the result of a careful internal and external selection procedure. Both the members of the selection and evaluation committee and the faculty directors agreed unanimously that he would be a very valuable addition to the Executive Board.

Wim Fiselier (1953) has been active at ArtEZ since 2007. Before he joined the board of the ArtEZ School of Music, he had already been active in cultural and artistic education for many years. He started his career as a chorister and thereafter worked as a supervisor in the opera and orchestra world. In his later career, he was responsible for a privatisation and merger process as director of the Centrum voor de kunsten de Leeuwenkuil (Centre for the Arts de Leeuwenkuil) in Deventer, among other activities. In recent years, Wim has also held various management positions. He is currently chair of the Nederlandse Kooracademie (Dutch Choir Academy), member of the board of Stichting Talenontwikkelingsfonds Deventer (Foundation for Talent Development Deventer) and member of the Creative Board Zwolle.

In recent year, Wim has made an important contribution to the positioning and profiling of the ArtEZ School of Music. In this, he has shown himself to be a pragmatic and magnetic personality. He knows ArtEZ inside out, understands art education and has an eye for the challenges that education and research are facing. With his knowledge of the internal organisation and the surroundings of ArtEZ, he complements Marjolijn Brussaard who has been appointed as chairman as of 1 November. With this, a solid foundation has been laid for the new Executive Board.
