A day is followed by a night

"My exploration of the day and night cycle and its subtle changes."

With this project, I play with my interpretation of the ongoing day and night cycle. At times, it feels as though the moon is haunting the sun, as darkness can arrive so fast. I've discovered that when I take more time to experience the subtle transitions throughout the day and night, the darkness no longer suddenly appears. In this case the sun is not only followed by the moon, but the sun is followed by the birds is followed by the clouds is followed by the rain is followed by the dusk is followed by the moon is followed by the stars is followed by the dawn is followed by the sun.

I interpreted this chase as a story that I started to tell throughout a booklet and a theater play, visualized in 7 small rotating theaters. In each scene, the characters go through subtle transformations. These refer to taking the time to notice subtle changes throughout the day and night. With this project, I want to remind people to slow down and look more often at the subtle changes in the nature around us, especially the clouds.
