Where are you?
I can see your absence by capturing a piece of your presence.

Why did you leave?
I will remember you.

The Presence of Absence is a printed environment of the traces that were once lost. By highlighting the layers, the feelings of being in-between of having something and losing it takes another shape. A poetic photo archive is created through daily research of our surroundings and touching these empty feelings. The photographs change size, texture and form trying to touch the placement of absence. Within the space, you will be lost in places that once were, in the presence of absence.

About Demi Mol

Demi Mol (she/her) is a Graphic Design graduate with a poetic approach towards storytelling within her designs. Her inspiration is often found within personal events and conversations with the important people around her. Demi tries to achieve unique outcomes by approaching them in various ways through storytelling, performance art, photography and book design. Besides all this, she likes to be overly attached to her plants, makes cheese platters for her friends, watching bad reality tv when needed and clean the house obsessively.
