Dansen onder druk kan leuk zijn, maar dansen zonder druk nog leuker

Anouk staat als 21-jarige in de startblokken voor een carrière als dansdocent. Na vier jaar hard werken op ArtEZ is Anouk klaar om haar vleugels te spreiden en haar eigen weg te gaan. De passie in het lesgeven ligt vooral bij de stijl jazz en daar wil ze zich na het afstuderen op focussen. Daarnaast heeft Anouk een interesse ontwikkeld in de mentale gezondheid van dansers en vooral hoe dansdocenten daarmee om kunnen gaan. Voor het afstudeeronderzoek luidt dan ook het thema: prestatiedruk. Hoe voelen leerlingen prestatiedruk en hoe kunnen docenten dit verhelpen?  

Dit alles is een opstapje voor wat in de toekomst komen gaat. Naast het lesgeven in het danswerkveld wil ze zich te gaan specialiseren in (sport)psychologie. Door danskennis en psychologische kennis te combineren hoopt Anouk de dansers van de toekomst op fysiek en mentaal vlak goed te kunnen trainen. 

Dancing under pressure can be fun, but dancing without pressure can be even better  

Anouk (21) can't wait to start her career as a dance teacher. After four years at ArtEZ, she is now ready to spread her wings. She has found her passion in teaching jazz dance. And that is what she wants to focus on after her graduation. Having developed an interest in the mental health of dancers, Anouk's graduation research focused on performance pressure: how do students experience this, and how can their teachers help them be less frightened to step into the world of dance.  

All this is a stepping stone for everything that Anouk wants to do in the future. In addition to teaching dance, she hopes to specialize in psychology, and eventually sport psychology. Anouk wants to combine that know-how with her knowledge of dance to train the dancers of the future well both physically and mentally.
