Internet objects contemplates the mixed reality of our life. Which is a spectacle of physical objects and digital symbols merging together. In this reality, time is flattened by skeuomorphic symbols on a solid screen that is called interface. Conversely, physical objects are produced as tokens by digital demand. This paradox is the trigger of Shiyun’s work. Framed in skeuomorphic objects such as clock emoji, shared bike, delivery bags, Shiyun creates an illusional space that juxtaposes physical and digital in the realm. For which objects and symbols merge their boundaries, and the perception of the real is twisted.
