Nienke van Gaal
Nienke van Gaal is te herkennen aan haar gedreven en veelzijdige karakter. Zij is 23 jaar en is begonnen met dansen in haar vierde levensjaar. Dansstijlen als Hiphop en Streetdance trokken haar het meest aan op jonge leeftijd, maar op haar zestiende begon zij ook met stijlen als modern, jazz en klassiek ballet. Haar eerste passie was theater, maar dans had toch de overhand, door dit feit werkt Nienke graag interdisciplinair. Tegenwoordig heeft ze zichzelf ontwikkeld tot een allround dansdocent, choreograaf en danser.
Haar onderzoek staat in het teken van het huidige schoonheidsideaal en de invloed op het zelfbeeld van dans docenten in opleiding. De maatschappelijke invloed op jouw eigen zelfbeeld is groot en bewustwording van dit feit is het doel van dit onderzoek. Verder is Nienke aan de slag gegaan met een project als choreograaf dat in het teken staat om dans naar basisscholen in Nederland en België te brengen. Door middel van een dans educatieve productie in combinatie met workshops, over een bepaald maatschappelijk thema, aan scholen aan te bieden probeert zij dit doel te behalen.
Nienke hoopt in de toekomst het docentschap met choreograferen te combineren, zo kan zij haar passie voor verschillende dansstijlen overdragen aan leerlingen en op hoger niveau dans aanbieden aan het onderwijs. Om zo dans meer op de kaart te zetten in het Nederlandse en Belgische onderwijs. Als dansdocent is haar doel om persoonlijke ontwikkeling op nummer één te zetten en ze maakt van haar leerlingen individuele dansers. Nienke is leerling gericht, behulpzaam en enthousiast als ze voor de klas staat, je kan op haar bouwen en heeft al de nodige ervaring in het werkveld. Om dagelijks bezig te zijn met dans te doceren en dans te maken lijkt haar een fijne combinatie voor in de toekomst.

Nienke van Gaal can be recognized by her passionate and versatile character. She is 23 years old and started dancing when she was four. Dance styles such as Hip-hop and streetdance attracted her most at a young age, but at the age of sixteen she also started with styles such as modern, jazz and classical ballet. Het first passion in life was theater, but dance still prevailed, because of this fact Nienke likes to work interdiciplinary. Nowadays she has developed herself into an all-round dance teacher, choreographer and dancer.
Her research focuses on the current beauty ideal and its influence on the self image of dance teachers in training. The social influence on your own self-image can be more than you realise, awareness of this fact is what she is trying to accomplish. Furthermore, Nienke has started a project as a choreographer that is all about bringing dance to primary schools in the Netherlands and Belgium. She tries to achieve this goal by offering a dance educational production in combination with workshops, about a specific social theme, to schools.
Nienke hopes to combine teaching with choreography in the future, so that she can pass on her passion for different dance styles to students and offer dance to education at a higher level. To put dance more on the map in Dutch and Belgium education is the end goal. As a dance teacher, her goal is to have personal development as a priority, she wants to turn every student into a unique and individual dancer. Nienke is student-oriented, helpful an enthusiastic when she teaches. You can rely on her and she already has the necessary experience in the workfield. Teaching dance and making dance on a daily basis seems like a great combination for her future.
