Who are you as a performer/artist?

I am an ever-evolving artist. Loved ones would describe me as a strong, intelligent, physical, creative, sensitive, energetic, playful, detailed, powerful, and humane performer. As an artist, I like to collaborate, contribute, and engage in creative processes. The fire in my heart grows when I see artistic ideas come together in a natural, spontaneous, and exhilarating manner.

What are your ambitions?

I want to unlock my full potential by staying close to what my heart desires at any given moment in my life. I trust that life offers the growing opportunities needed to become the artist I aspire to be. In the future, I see myself creating, guiding, teaching, moving, and performing a lot. I imagine myself evolving step by step alongside the people I love.

Where do you find inspiration?

I tend to have creative outbursts when a space triggers me to reflect. Oftentimes I’ll be on the train jumping locations, with a gut feeling that something’s about to happen and no place to go but within. I call it the betwixt and the between moments. Alone with my thoughts, I’ll start making associations, and linking ideas. People and other beings inspire me the most. Everyone moves in their own unique way each with their personal stories. Also, nature can astonish me. Movement is everywhere, even in stillness. I love to think that life is one big, raw, and honest performance.

What did you do at your internship & what did you learn?

During my internship with Skånes Dansteater, I performed in the pieces "Remind Me I’m Not Dead" by Mari Carrasco, "Wild Fellas" by Erika Silgoner, and "The Dropouts" by Jo Strømgren. I got the chance to take part in the company’s social engagement, which allowed me to give workshops for several social groups. I even guided and collaborated with some of these people in making their own work. I will continue my journey with Skånes Dansteater after I graduate and carry on working on my own artistic practice. This time has been very fruitful and instructive. I’ve met welcoming people and could develop in a safe and amazing working environment. There are many learning curves to mention, but the most prominent one is that I can always trust my intuition!
