About the preparatory programme

You want to discover whether art is the right path for you. You want to try things out, grow, doubt and create. Whether you are still in secondary school or already a bit further along, the preparatory programme helps you get to know yourself as a maker. At AKI ArtEZ Academy of Art & Design in Enschede you experience what it is like to study at an art academy. You learn what kinds of classes you can expect, what you will be working on and what will be expected of you. You also gain insight into the professional world of designers and artists.

Programme

Across sixteen Saturdays you immerse yourself in the world of art and design. You build your portfolio, take workshops and are taught by guest lecturers from the field. Each day focuses on a new technique or theme, allowing your unique talent to surface and develop further. The lecturers guide you step by step and support you in your creative projects. You also work on essential skills such as motivation, communication and reflection.

At the end of the programme you present your work in a final exhibition, where family and friends are of course welcome. It is a great way to give your creative future a strong start.
