Why Moving Image?
Does studying film appeal to you, and are you looking for plenty of space to experiment and explore? Discover the world of film and video in the Moving Image programme at AKI ArtEZ Academy of Art & Design. Why choose this programme?
Moving images as a new reality
In Moving Image, you research moving images not as a representation of the world, but as a reality in itself. You will learn to develop new insights, experiment with form and movement, and work on projects that fall outside the existing framework. This is how you grow into an autonomous, conceptual image maker with your own vision.
Learning in a close-knit, international community
You will study in a small-scale, international academy with an open and accessible atmosphere. The interaction with lecturers/teachers and fellow students plays a major role. In this safe but challenging environment, you can experiment, reflect and find your own direction.
Current education with room for experimentation
The program is in line with current developments in moving images. You'll have plenty of room for artistic research, personal fascinations and creative risks. The process is at least as important as the final result. You'll discover how to translate your ideas into innovative projects.
Become a specialist with broad career opportunities
You develop visible expertise and learn to work independently and as a team. Alumni find their way as independent makers, within creative studios, on assignment or in further studies. The combination of concept development, technical skills and research makes you widely employable in the creative sector.
