"We live in a society that is driven 24/7 by success stories and speed," says Carlijn. "This has a strong impact on the well-being of young entrepreneurs. Yet they are the foundation of the future society and well-being is ultimately all you have." She sees opportunities in creating a healthier living environment for young entrepreneurs. "Space can provide support."
A sigh in space
The graduate is designing an entrepreneurial laboratory. This is an open space that responds dynamically to the needs of its users, in this case young entrepreneurs who want to change their way of working. Carlijn: "The connecting element, which is central, drapes itself into the space like a sigh. This element is walkable and invites you to move in a different way. You are carried, so to speak, and invited to playfully engage with your working day."
Something crazy and something exciting

The Entrepreneurship Lab is a place where people come to work. "I think it's important to focus on something crazy and something exciting," says the student. "At the same time, it's a place where you can move around during your break and not just sit in a chair. While something is happening in the room, you can eat your sandwich in peace."
The power of experiencing space
The atmosphere of a space greatly influences how we work, learn, play, meet and relax in it. On the Interior Designer AD course you learn to use materials, light and proportion to create a specific atmosphere. A great example of this is Carlijn's design, in which a giant net hangs in the room as an eye-catcher. "You can climb into it together, but you can also relax in it while you work," explains Carlijn.
"For me, it symbolises the importance of playing and moving while working. I offer a different way of working to integrate resilience and lightness. Through the power of experiencing space, I support both a person's well-being and their vision of work." This design shows how atmosphere and space can contribute to a dynamic, inspiring work environment.
