On May 16th, the Bachelor Dance Artist program of ArtEZ University of the Arts in Arnhem will perform at Theaterkerk Bemmel. Third-year students from this program will present a diverse evening program, featuring choreographies by Erika Silgoner, Anne Suurendonk, and Tiago Manquinho, among others. Several students will also present their own original work. After this tour, the students will complete their studies at the academy and begin fourth-year internships with various (international) dance companies. This bachelor’s program trains students to become (co-creating) dancers and makers. They develop into unique dance artists, in which technical, creative, and performative skills are essential for a visceral experience, using the language of the body within theatrical settings. This production is financially supported by the European Union and the Interreg partner as part of the German-Dutch Interreg program—a two-year collaboration with Theater Osnabrück, Theater aan de Rijn, and the ArtEZ Academy of Theatre and Dance.
