Annika Lette is a maker and critical fashion practitioner, exploring the realms of fiber art and collaborative making.

In Crafting Kinship: Exploring the Potential of Craft in Fostering Kinship, Annika Lette delves into the transformative power of craft to foster a sense of kinship and community. The aim of the work is to counteract the commodifying forces of neoliberal capitalism in a society where individualism thrives and the essence of community and care is gradually eroded.
Crafting Kinship challenges these prevailing norms while exploring how craft can bridge the gap and create a space for genuine connection, care, and healing. At the core of the project is the Crafting Kinship Workzine, a platform that offers accessible guidance for cultivating interdependence, healing, and community strengthening through craft. Through incorporating theory and hands-on exercises, the Workzine strives to democratise the knowledge and practices of craft, enabling a wider audience to engage with crafts and reestablishing it as a means of authentic connection and community building.
