Who are you as a performer/artist?

I am a curious artist. I am curious about others and my surroundings, but most of all curious about what can be expressed with movement and how to make the body find those ways of expressing. To me, a message delivered through movement comes through the strongest. 

What are your ambitions?

My ambitions are to perform and create, to be part of worlds created by myself and other artists. I want to share different perspectives on existence through movement, and I want to share the beauty of it.

Where do you find inspiration?

I find inspiration in nature, but nature for me includes so much, like people and time and atmospheres and seasons and memories.

What did you do at your internship & what did you learn?

I spent my fourth year working in Helsinki and getting to know its dance scene. I did a longer internship at Johanna Nuutinen & Co. for the Zero-Zero production. I learned a lot about working independently and good communication, and I gained a lot of information and inspiration in my movement. Overall I really enjoyed my time!
As my own project, I continued my research on bears and created a solo exploring my relationship to the animal and its cultural meaning in Finland.
