Do you have exceptional musical talent and attend primary or secondary school? Then the Young Talent Class offers a great opportunity to further develop your skills.
This multi-year preparatory programme is designed for young musicians from the age of 10 up to and including the (pre-)final year of senior general secondary education (havo), pre-university education (vwo), the third year of pre-vocational secondary education (vmbo-t), or the final year of senior secondary vocational education (mbo-4b). You can apply for the Jazz & Pop or Classical Music pathway.
You’ll begin with an introductory class at the conservatory in Arnhem. This class is taught by one of our lecturers. After the class, they’ll let you know whether you can audition for admission.
If you’re admitted, you’ll join the Young Talent Class. You’ll take main subject classes (instrument or vocals) and music theory lessons. You’ll also regularly perform during recital evenings. In addition, you’ll take part in the joint study days of all preparatory programmes. These days are full of workshops and making music with your fellow students.
Planning to participate in music competitions? Our conservatory lecturers can support you in preparing for them.
