Does this sound like you?
If so, the Art & Design Preparatory programme might be the right choice for you. During the programme, you will be introduced to what it's like to study at an arts academy and will be given plenty of room to experiment, grow and make your own creative choices. As an extra perk, you do not need to apply for admission to this preparatory programme.
The Art & Design Zwolle Preparatory Course is ideal for:
In this programme, you will develop your own style and vision as an artist or designer. You will create your own work, learn new techniques and receive instruction in all areas of art and design. You will also reflect on your work and learn how to build a robust portfolio. You do not need to be able to do everything perfectly yet; curiosity and motivation are enough.
You will be introduced to fields of study such as Animation Design, Comic Design, Illustration Design, Interior Architecture, Graphic Design and Fine Art and Design in Education. The preparatory programme prepares you as well as possible for the admissions process for a bachelor's programme and helps you discover which field and study track are best for you.
For six months, you will work on your creative development as an artist. You receive lessons in various disciplines, learn to look critically at the world and ask yourself questions that help shape your vision.
The lessons and feedback from enthusiastic artists and designers will help you create work that truly reflects you and your creative talent. This way, you will increase your chances of being admitted to a bachelor's programme.
You will receive lessons in all disciplines offered by the academy and from teachers at several ArtEZ bachelor's programmes, allowing you to make an informed choice about which programme you would like to apply for. You will be immersed in what it is like to study here, discovering the academy's open atmosphere and meeting fellow students. Everyone is welcome, regardless of background or experience.
After 18 Saturdays, you will have learned a great deal and created a substantial amount of work. That being said, participation in a preparatory programme does not automatically guarantee you a spot in a bachelor's programme.
If you would like to continue studying at ArtEZ, you will need to take an entrance exam. This preparatory programme will help you to be well prepared for that process - or, conversely, to make a more confident choice to pursue a different avenue.
After taking a preparatory programme:
