What you'll learn

You will discover how to design spaces that make a difference — beautiful, functional, social, and ready for the future. From furniture to buildings, from interiors to public spaces: you will discover how to create places that truly make a difference.

In the bachelor’s programme in Interior Architecture at the ArtEZ Academy of Art & Design Zwolle, you will learn:

• how to develop and translate concepts into strong designs;
• how to make spaces speak through material, light, colour and form;
• how to reflect critically on your own work and that of others;
• how, as a designer, you can make a meaningful contribution to society.

You will work on many projects, often together with students from other disciplines. You will be taught by dedicated lecturers and professionals from the field.  

In the workshops, you will learn traditional techniques; in theory classes, you will broaden your perspective. You are encouraged to experiment and make mistakes – that’s how you grow into an open-minded designer who looks ahead.
