You study Fine Art at AKI ArtEZ Academy of Art & Design in Enschede — an idiosyncratic city with a strong underground culture, where art appears in former factories, at festivals and at maker spaces. Together with Moving Image and Crossmedia Design, the programme forms a small-scale art academy: an unbounded, non-competitive space for autonomous artists and designers. Because of the academy’s scale and character, friendships, exchanges and collaborations emerge naturally - across disciplines, and sometimes for life.

You work in professional workshops for metal, plastics, screen printing, printmaking, ceramics and wood. You also have access to large-format plotters, laser cutters and 3D printers. There is an extensive video and photography studio, analogue darkrooms, and plenty of space in studios and exhibition areas.
