Your degree
After successfully completing the programme, your diploma will state: Bachelor of Fine Art. and you may use the title Bachelor of Arts (BA). This programme is listed in the RIO (Register of Institutions and Programmes) under code 39110.
Career opportunities
With your diploma, you can work as an independent visual artist. Other roles are possible too: curator, filmmaker, art critic, or organiser of exhibitions and projects. Many graduates work autonomously, but also take on commissions or collaborate with other makers. Your artistic skills are equally valuable outside the art world. For example in education, research, urban development or social initiatives.

At ArtEZ, you don’t just learn how to create, you also learn how to build a career. We support you with training, coaching, a strong network, and more. This way, you can confidently take the step from study to professional practice and build a sustainable career in the arts.
Further study
If you want to specialise further, you can continue your studies in a national or international master’s programme - at ArtEZ or elsewhere. You can also obtain a first-degree teaching qualification in Zwolle or Arnhem through the part-time accelerated programme Fine Art and Design in Education.
