Title and diploma

After successfully completing the Theatre in Education course (Artisteducator in Theatre), you are entitled to use the title of Bachelor of Education. This course can be found in the RIO (Institutions and Programmes Registration) under code 34745. The formal name of the course, under which it is known in RIO, is Bachelor of Theatre in Education. This name will be stated on your degree.

Career opportunities

This bachelor's programme grants you a non-graded teaching qualification, which allows you to work in primary, secondary and vocational education, as well as in many other educational settings. You will graduate as an authentic artist educator with a distinctive artistic identity and a strong sense of transformative power. 

As a maker and creating teacher, you have a great chance of finding work, for example:

• as an independent cultural entrepreneur, inventor and maker of theatre projects;
• as a maker/director/workshop organiser in neighbourhoods, at festivals or in the theatre;
• as a theatre teacher and theatre maker in education;
• with a theatre company;
• with a theatre school or arts centre;
• with the educational service of a theatre group or museum;
• as a trainer/performer in business;
• as a public engagement officer for theatres.
