Both Sides Now is Ferry Wijma's final exam concert. Ferry is an all-round pianist and he will perform this during his exam. During his studies at the ArtEZ Academy of Music in Zwolle, Ferry was mainly busy studying Jazz music, but his greatest passion is film music and he got a lot of inspiration from Hans Zimmer, Ludovico Einaudi and Yann Tiersen.
During this concert you can therefore expect to hear a number of his own compositions in a melancholic, spherical style. Ferry has years of experience in the band circuit and will show what he has to offer with a number of challenging pieces. Bands such as the Yellow Jackets and Earth Wind and Fire will pass by during this concert. The title Both Sides Now is therefore very appropriate, because he will bring both directions together in one concert. Together with his strong 12-piece band they will make it a top night!
