Androgynous falsettos, whispering insecurities and powerful raw revelations. Dylan is someone who looks for himself in his music on and off stage. On a stable bed of his musicians, Dylan can unleash his controlled instability, exploring all the edges of the given “personality.”
Taking inspiration from artists such as Moses Sumney, Saya Gray, Thom Yorke, an underlying layer of Jazz idioms and a hefty dose of stubbornness, the introspective art pop within which Dylan is a detached experiment in a daydreaming jacket appears.
The lyrics are Dylan's personal problems and experiences with themes such as (bi)sexuality, the nuances of personality versus “man - woman” society and all the collateral consequences of struggling with these issues.
During his final performance of “Personality,” he puts all these elements into a 45-minute show that jumps and chugs from left to right and bottom to top.
