AKI student Sakamon Triboriruk is exhibiting her work at Concordia as part of the Sustainable Fashion Art Event.

Her work Squeez in, out is an environmental piece that explores the architecture, materiality, identity, and social networks within the impoverished neighbourhoods of Bangkok. These communities struggle to survive along the fault lines of rapid urbanisation and economic growth.
Born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand, Sakamon now studies at AKI ArtEZ Academy of Art & Design. In Squeez in, out, wooden frameworks, sagging textiles, and photographic elements are merged and distorted into shifting perspectives. The work evokes an unstable space, where adaptation and endurance are inseparably linked, and the everyday reality of inequality is tangibly present.
