Creating art for 24 hours, no sleep! From comics to posters to film. Academy of Art & Design Zwolle often takes part in the international 24 Hours Drawing Project.
The Comic Design students created one comic page per hour. Meanwhile, the Graphic Design students threw themselves into designing a complete costume, and the students of Artisteducator in Theatre & Media brought a new performance to life every few hours in the Sophia building. And there, moving with the rhythm of the clock, were the programmes Fine Art & Design in Education, Illustration Design and Animation Design, each devoting every hour to their craft. Every hour was a new chapter; every effort brought them closer to their creative goals.
Throughout the 24 hours, the 24 Hours news crew followed the students in 2023 at every moment of the day. A mini documentary capturing the dedication and creativity of the participants as they took on the challenge. The project pushed not only physical but also artistic boundaries, leaving a lasting impression in the halls of ArtEZ Zwolle.
